Woodhead Oswestry Sales and Lettings are pleased to announce
they will be offering a traditional method property auction service beginning
this summer.
The agent will be partnering with All Wales Auction – an award-winning
auctioneering house supported by over 230 staff and 30 offices across Wales and
borders. Senior auctioneer and partner Melfyn Williams is well known and highly
experienced in his field and boasts a rate of selling four out of every five
properties entered.
The auction house has previously been the recipient of the
Sunday Times Best UK Auctioneers titles in 2011, 2013 and 2014.
Kate Howell, owner of Woodhead on Leg Street in Oswestry,
said: “I’ve been looking for a way to offer auctions to our clients and this
seemed like the perfect fit. Not only is Melfyn a top auctioneer and friend,
he’s part of the Guild of Property Professionals as we are, so I know the
standards of his work will be as high as ours and it’s a great match for us.”
Woodhead will be auctioning their first property – a
four-bedroom house for renovation on Oakhurst Road in Oswestry on 10 August.
The property, which has a guide price of £160,000 is likely to get a lot of interest
from families looking for a project to investors and developers.
“Auctions are definitely something we would like to grow,”
said Kate, “some properties are just suited to this method of sale and it’s
important I can offer my clients all of the options they might need to sell
their property.”
The estate agent has just agreed another three, exclusive
exhibition dates this year to present properties for sale in the prestigious
Park Lane office in London, which they have access to as part of their membership
with The Guild. The dates will be 7 September, 6 October and 11 November.
