Oswestry School is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school for pupils between the ages of 4-18. Founded in 1407, it is one of the oldest non-denominational school in the country and stands on the edge of the town in 50 acres of grounds.

The Marches School and Academy Trust – located in walking distance from the town centre. This is Oswestry’s only state secondary school, with an enrolment of around 1200 pupils age 11 - 16. There is an attached sixth form college which opened in 2014.
